Dr. Werner is contracted with Cigna and Anthem/ Blue Cross Blue Shield as a “Specialist”. Riverside Healing Center will bill these insurance companies at the time of your visit. Dr. Werner is considered “out-of-network” with Aetna, United Healthcare and Maine Community Health Options. patients who carry these insurances will be provided with a “superbill” that can be submitted for re-imbursement of out-of-pocket expenses. Harvard Pilgrim do not recognize Naturopathic Doctors as providers of any sort however a bill has just been passed that will change this. For more information, please visit the Maine Association of Naturopathic Doctors at mand.org.
Dr. Werner recommends contacting your insurance company before your visit to see what will be covered for your naturopathic consults. With the exception of Cigna and Anthem/ BCBS carriers, payment for consults is due at the time of the visit. If you have a self referral plan for Anthem please make sure you do not need a referral from PCP so that your normal co-pay amount applies.
Payment for supplements regardless of insurance is due at the time of the visit.
Dr. Werner currently is not in-network with any insurance company for midwifery care. Dr. Werner recommends contacting your insurance company before your visit to see what will be covered for your home birth.
